Prof. Dr. Triq Mukhtar, Dr. Amjad Shahzad Gondal and Dr. Raees are the founding members of Pakistan Society of Plant Protection.

Our Mission

Pakistan Society of Plant Protection is aimed at promotion diffusion of scientific knowledge covering integrated and sustainable plant protection approaches. Promotion of integrated and sustainable plant protection approaches is the main mission of Pakistan Society of Plant Protection.

Objectives

To feed the ever increasing population of the world is an uphill task. Therefore, the principal objective of Pakistan Society of Plant Protection is to enhance production by identifying key pests of different crops, vegetables and fruits, studying their population dynamics in the changing environment and their management by using integrated approaches. The society will endeavor to minimize reliance on pesticides which causes serious environmental and health issues in developing countries. The society will also create awareness among farming community regarding injudicious use of pesticides.
